what kind of a diff will 5.5lbs per wheel have on my car?

A guy in the Audi forum did a really extensive scientific evaluation of this question. He found that wheel/tire weight is worth 165% of non-rotating weight. So an additional 5.5lb is equal to adding 9lb.....total of 4 is 36lb. So it should feel the same as having an extra 4 to 5 gallons of gas, or so.

You will definately loose some accel and braking(depending on tire traction), the handling difference may make up for that though. What wheels are you getting? Why are they so heavy? We have some lighter wheels available for $195ea.
