What is the best tire and wheel combo between a 17 and 18 to keep speedo most accurat

both those combo's should not throw your speedo off at all..

225's will fit w/o a problem, my car is lowered 1.8" in the rear and and I do not rub at all with my 225/40/18's.

Manufacturers will state the # of revolutions a tire makes per mile. I believe the TireRack has this info on their site. Match this number as closely as you can to the stock tires. From there you can mathematically calculate how far off your speedo is going to be, it should be fairly negligible.
