i have a 05 wrx sedan. i am thinkg about the volk gt-u which comes in 17x7&17x8 42 and 49 offsets or the gt-n 17x7 w/50 offstet and 17x8 44 and 50 offsets.my questinons are 1.which offtest for each wheel. 2. will i need spacers and ifso what spacer.

 

high offsets are good i dont think you will need spacers
i run a +45 on a 17x8
i also had +51 18x8 everything was fine

 

You should be fine with any of those wheel sizes if you go with the higher offset and don't put too much tire on them. Probably the ideal size/offset of the ones you posted is 17x8 +50.
