Tires for snow

Like you, I live in the Bay Area and take many trips to Tahoe, especially during the winter. These tires were on the expensive side, but have worn so slowly in the bay area that I think they were cheaper in the long run. Last season was my third season on them, and in January the had enough snow traction to yank a brand new Explorer out of a snow bank with a to rope.

I have never heard anything but the best about nokians snow tires. Almost every review I have read the people mention how they came from Blizzaks, etc. and the nokians were like a studded tire in comparison...
