Tire question

Im pretty sure my tires are just too wide for the car... They are 225/45/17.. Im wondering if 215/45/17 or if 205/50/17 (which is recommended from tire rack) would be better? Or even if they fit my rims. My knowledge on tires is extremely lacking, so someone enlighten me Thanks guys!

What size rims are you running? If youre running stock spec rims, 225/45/17 is good, thats the specs for stock tires

the 215/45/17s are fine they willfit ona 7.5" rim just fine with a 48 offset they will rub unless you 1 roll the back or get some coilovers to get some neg camber the 225 should fit your rim and not too sure on the car? all depends on the offset i guess

225 is a minimum starting off point for me.

I'm running 245 40 17 on 17x8 rims. Hell some people run 285 for a street driven suby.

Wider is usually better unless you run into fitment issues.

^^^^on a gc that is very hard to do. everything needs to be setup right.

i'm on coils and my drop is not to much. the wgn is on a stock susp. but it needs to have the fenders rolled. only rubs when turning hard.

also i think astin(relaxtampax) is on 225/45/17 and he is on H&R springs and KYB struts..... he also rubs on hard turns but then again he needs to roll his fenders too...... mine are rolled and i have no problem

when i had my coupe i had 215/45/17s on 17x7.5 rims with 48 offset with my h&r with agx i rubbed rolled the rear and then it rubbed on big bumps and when people in the back
once i put my coilovers on they added enough neg camber that they never rubbed again

so in theory your coupe shouldnt rub after you roll the 1/4s but if it does get some camber bolts for the rear and add a little camber
