Why do you want to stretch tires on stock wheels?

You better not say because it looks cool.

Because I love the look of a STI BBS wheel. I still don't see why people are going crazy over a question. I did not know width was an issue so idc.

You didn't really answer my question.

So, the you like how the wheel looks. Why do you need to stretch a tire on it?

Nancy Pelosi was in the lobby of my office earlier this week. I would've done a lot more than ask questions.

Because it would look cool if you could stretch the tire on it. Maybe I can do a custom job to get it wider

you CAN stretch a 185 over OE BBS. but as everyone here is telling you, at stock height and offset, completely and utterly pointless. youll just be prone to more damage to your wheels than need be. you only really need to stretch if you got a fatty wide wheel and and need that extra fender clearance. unless ur are running spacers, taht is NOT the issue you are havingt on you sti even stupid slammed. dont do it man. look for replica BBS 18x8.5> and stretch tires on those. but not OE 17x7.5. lol

FYI i cracked one of my wheels due to being slammed, 35 tall sidewalls, cambered, and minor strech 245 on 9.5s one little rock is enough to hit the inner flange.

Yeah I'm thinking about getting the "RS" from BBS. But I was just wondering if it could be done.

The LM's are better looking on Subaru's in my opinion. I have the BBS LM Reps and looks amazing

Try Linea Corse Lemans, a great replica for half the price and can go up to 9.5 wide.

But stick with 18x8.5 because those actually fit, unlike the 18x9.5s.

Check out STR 601 as well. That's what I have and they're fairly priced.

Here they are on my 2008 WRX Sedan:
