sti with bad alignment causing inside tires to go bald
Since FHI most likely aligns for right hand drive with the thought to compensate for road crown, if they align for JDM, USDM cars will naturally pull to the left. If not reported or no complaints sent to FHI via Subie of America from their customers then nothing ever changes.
My twisted reasoning, when I learned and did alignment we would compensate for road crown so the car would track straight in spite of the road crown...

in general, toe kills tires, not camber.
camber simply puts more pressure on one edge of the tire.
toe causes a slipping/scrubbing every time the car moves.
with zero toe even a degree or more of -ve camber is unlikely to cause any premature tire wear, and if you corner hard, will probably improve it.
remember to check your pressures as well.

i don't know
about the mainland cars. but here in hawaii the subies come shipped with several brochures of tire brands showing tires separate warranties. generally if the tires were worn due to a manufacturer defect then the 3yr/36k mile warranty should cover the cost of the tires. but generally tires have their own separate warranties. but i know one thing for sure---- the service tech will probably think " how in the world did you let your tires get in such bad shape? and why only now are you reporting this?" whether its fair or not some service techs do make subjective decisions especially when they have to make a report(claim) to have warranty work(inc. reimbursements for costs invloved) my alignment/camber has been way off for 2 weeks now(new susp install) and i check or look at my tires everyday
there is only slight wear, but i know my tires will have a max life of 2 months(if not fixed)
okay i talked enough already - - - if u have any questions or need help u can pm/email me and i'll try to help if i can

Ok...it's Feb now and I've just taken delivery about a week ago of my new STi. Turns out...yep...it pulls to the left.
Just FYI - I called the dealership and they indicated that they had just been notified by Subaru of the issue and they'd take care of me N/C.
