small leak in one tire...
I have a small leak in one of my front tires and it is unpatchable. The abbrasion on the tire is on the front. This tire needs replacement. My question is, should I go ahead and purchase TWO new front tires? OR should I go ahead and replace ALL FOUR of my tires? By the way, my car has almost 20k miles on the stock tires. What would you guys reccomend?
unless you have 2wd car which wouldn've needed to be made prior to 96 (thats when they changed to AWD, you NEED to replace all 4 UNLESS theres less than 1/32nd of treadwear. Otherwise you'd have to change out your gearing so that the wheels try to turn the same speed which'd be hard if not impossible and insanely expensive. IF you put on different sized wheels, you'd have tons of problems like decrease in traction ride comfort and driveline life.
So assuming you have an AWD car (ex WRX) you NEED 4 new tires
Sorry bout the lenght, I was bored
