Se7en mod offset question?
Hey I am about to order the Axis Se7en Mod and they come in either 18 x 7.5(42mm offset) or 19 x 8(35 or 45 mm offset).
I was wondering if anyone knew if 35 mm or 45 mm would be better on a set of 19 inch se7en mods. I was told 19 x 8s would fit just fine and that 35 was prefered in case you want to oupgrade brakes later. This is was they did on the newer Axis Sport Tuning car. Also they are wrapped in Falcons. Is this the right choice. Also I have a C-West body kit -will they fit? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The 35s would give great brake clearance but the C-West body kit should increase you fender clearance (flares) by at least 10 mm if you would like to avoid rubbing. The place selling you the wheels should be able to use the big brake template (specific to brand of big brake) to tell you if the 45 offset will clear the brake kit you're getting.
I'd recommend the 45 offset over the 35 for the sake of your axles and rubbing issues. Don't jump on either until the replies to this post build up because you are pushing the limits, and someone with a similar body kit might have some more targeted advice.

thanks for the advice. I have not yet decided on brakes so I cannot specify. Do I need to decide on brakes before buying wheels or does anyone have a set up who can tell me which brakes will fit with 45s so I don't have to risk rubbing? Also, the Axis Sport Tuning car has a Wings West body kit and 19 x 8s with 35 mm offset and apparently they run it and use it for daily driving with no problem. They also have it lowered a couple of inches with JIC coils. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

35 will rub.
45 might rub.
I am running 17x8.5 +45 and it doesnt rub.
I test fitted 255/40/17's and they too fit.
I am getting 245/4/17's to use dailu though.

They sent me my se7en mods today with the wrong bolt pattern! The people at axis gave me this guys name and he told me he gets stuff from axis that same day because wheel studio is close to Axis. He says hes driven the axis tuning car before-saying 35 mm offset would be fine. He sent me pictures directly of the axis car, he assured me 35 mm offset would be the best.
Almost everyone dissagreed but I figured all rims were different and if this guy said they would fit- they must. Now, I don't know if he's full of crap(obviously an idiot). They were balanced all wrong and he sent the wrong bolt pattern so I couldnt even check to see if offset would fit! Why does axis always put on 35 mm on their car? Anyone have any experience with Hagens(35 or 45)? I' m sending them back and wondering if I should just go with 45mm offset. Anyone know? Thanks.
