Rota Formel
Rota Formel
I really like the look of these wheels, they'r not just strait like so many others, and they'r pretty cheap compared to some other rims, but They'r hella heavy, like 24 pounds. How much will this effect performance as opposed to some of the more performance wheels like the bbs sti wheels, or lighter higher performance wheels. Any opinions on them or alternatives? I like the gold ones, I think the gold looks so much better. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

i like them alot so far and have noticed any loss of performance from stock. oh yeah, i have also heard they dont fit over STI brakes. it depends on what you want from your wheel. i figure with a car like the WRX it has enough power that "heavy" wheels are not that big of difference, but that just my opinion.
PS: i have the gold ones

You don't say if you have alloys now or not, if not some takeoffs from another soob might be a good, cheap first move. Also, 16" from Rota (subzeros? whatever) are a good value - not as light as BBS or Volks but a LOT cheaper. You might also search for threads discussing lightened (not underdriven) pulleys and lighter flywheels(if MT).
Others here will have good suggestions I'm sure.
