rims? tires?
So anywho...I'm looking to do my first upgrade to my little 03 WRX sedan. Starting simple so I'm going with new rims and tires. Looking specifically at the ROTA SDR's, which are hot and if I can figure out how to post a pic of them I will.... and the Kumho Ecsta MX. I know most people go for the Falken's, but with the east coast weather the way it is, I need some decent wet traction. Any ideas? Oh, and if someone wants to do a group-buy, let me know so we can try and work a deal....(or so I've been told that's the way).
Oh, and the SDR's I would get are 17"x7.5" +48mm offset and weigh 16.5lbs.

Hey Boots,
I have the SDR's and yes, they are very nice. Although, I'm pretty sure your pic shows the Prodrive wheel on which the SDR's are based.
The SDR's are more like 18-18.5 lbs. a piece. But I cannot tell a difference from my stock 16.5 lb. wheels
As far as wet weather performance, I'm very happy with the Falken ST-115's wet weather ability. Just look at those water channels! Z rated, excellent performing summer tire. Just have some snows ready for when winter hits.
Good luck.

Be careful if you get Kumho Ecsta MX's: their manufacturing quality is highly inconsistent. If you want a tire with good overall performance and good wet traction, consider the Falken FK451's as opposed to the Azenis ST115's. And if you want to spring for a bit more, Bridgestone Potenza RE750's have great wet traction.
