Does anyone if it matters how closely an aftermarket wheels offset is to your stock wheels. There are these sweet 17 inch Rotas i want but their offset is 48mm while my stock 15's have a 55mm offset. Will the new ones fit?( the bolt pattern is the same)

 

why do some people get clowned on for sporting rotas?


are they "not" the real deal? did the owner of that company do an "R. Kelly episode"?

people in seattle loathe them with a passion, but i don't know why?

 

They're "not the real deal" in that they are replicas of rims that cost 3 times as much by BBS or Prodrive. Their quality is excellent and I've seen no complaints against them except for a single picture of someone that broke the spokes on a Rota Tarmac while rallying. I'm not sure that qualifies as unusual, but I'm not a fan of the spoked wheels, anyway.

2 or 3 bad wheels out of thousands produced? Pretty damn good, if you ask me.

That's not my car, it's a picture I found (but I'm looking to do gold on black in the future). Those are the gold Rota Formels. They also come in silver, bronze, steel grey with polished lip, and I'm not sure what else. I've seen them sold for $550 shipped.

 

ah OK.... looks like from the Rota web site that the highest offset those wheels come in is 42...... From what I hear from everyone one here, that is a lil low to be running on a Subaru. I love those wheels , wish they came in a + 48 or higher
