Overall Best Tire...
Overall Best Tire...
Here's the deal. I need new tires for my 17x8 nippon racing rim's and want to know what is the best overall street tire? I want atleast R45 or so because i had low profiles (Kumho Ecostas) and went through 3 because they couldn't handle the weight. Plus i don't need the wheel gap looking any bigger. But i want just a good sticky street tire for around $600. I live in the D.C Metro area so i do have to deal with some snow now and again but nothing to bad. Just looking for any opinions...
Thanks

Bridgestone Potenza S03. If you're concerned about snow, Pirelli P-Zero Nero.
I'm too poor to afford either so I'm running RE750s

Overall best tire? No such thing. Good winter tires suck in the dry and good summer tires suck in the snow. If you have stock brakes, get the winter tires on the stock wheels and put S03s or Falken Azenis on some 17s.
Isn't 17x8 kinda a wierd size. I can't seem to find many tires i think will fit. ANy advice? I wanna check out the bridgestones and P zero's. If i have to choose i want a good street tire not snow tire. I have another car i can drive when it does snow which isn't that often.
So you're looking for good all season tires... Might want to look into Falken Ziex's well at least that's what I have on my 17 Subzeros. Got them after reading Consumer reports and the testing they did for all season Tires. Falken Ziexs rated no.1 and for $89 I was sold . Got 235/45/17 and I only have one complaint on snow... It grips pretty darn good which makes drifts a little harder to do compared to having the stock tires.
