Question Offset

I have a MY99 2.5RS and I was looking at wheels that had a 36mm offset. Reading the standard wheel information on the forum it states that 48 – 52mm is the recommended. My question is: is there anything I can do to make this wheel work with my car? -Thanks for any help.

The measurement for offset is counter-intuituve. A spacer would bring the offset down even further. You would have to shave the mounting surface of the wheel to raise the offset number and pull the wheel inward. Try looking for another wheel - this one isn't meant to be.
