New Nitto Invo tires!

Hey guys,

Nitto released their new ultra-high performance street tire called Invo. I heard from a Nitto tire engineer that the Invo uses a brand new tire compound that's suppose to be super quiet and comfortable without compromise to performance. Obviously these aren't your RT615 or Neovas as far as ultimate grip is considered but the Invo are supposedly most ideal for street and daily driving. The performance will be a bit better than their current NT555. Did I mention it looks darn cool!!! What do you guys think?

Man, I am going to mount these on my Advan RS soon for daily driving and will be mounting Nitto's NT01 on my Advan RG2 for track attacks!!! I am a Nitto *****

Here's the link to the official tire...http://www.nittoinvo.com/, check it out and although there are only select sizes available now, I think by the end of the year, most common sizes will be released.

Thoughts? Comments?

OK, not much talk about these tires out there... I just bought a pair two days ago and they're awesome! Dry traction is excellent, very predictable, and quiet at the limit. I'm using a G-tech Pro meter and my cloverleaf cornering went up by ~.10-.15 g (to 1.05 sustained, banked turn). It rained today and wet traction was great too, also predictable. Better than the all-season tires I removed! For the price, they rock! I'm off to the track in a week and I'll report back on what I find...

Thumbs down

No weights listed ~ probably a 23-24 lb tire?

True, they're not light. My 245/40-17s are about 26 lbs per tire! (effects of this posted in this thread: https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...16#post2026216)

I would certainly love to have the resources to compare these to lighter tires head-to-head, but stand by my earlier post that they're a great bang for the buck.
