Cool New Michelin Tires

Has anyone seen these tires/wheels? Looks like a crazy concept.

yeah i read an article about them a while ago, but I thought it was just a cross-section cut they were showing, I didn't know that is how the wheel would really look. Kinda ugly, they should have given it a sidewall.

If I remember correctly the "open" sidewall was for the press intro, the production tire would have sidewalls.

Yup. Basically it's to show that it doesn't require air so no blowouts.

Ah, ok....that makes more sense. They are a great idea, and I assume they have made them so they still 'feel' like normal tires and whatnot, but not sure I'd really 'need' these
