At long last, my beloved Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s have worn out. I have zero complaints about these tires; they have monster grip, good highway feel, long lives and fantastic wet performance (when it rains here, we get tons of standing water -- no hydroplaning with these tires, period). Yet in the three years I have had these tires, I'm sure something better came along. So, before I pull the trigger on another set (225/45/17 this time, not 215) does anyone have suggestions? The Goodyears knocked me out (as well as friends who tried them behind my wheel) so whatever comes next has to be as good or better. $290 a tire isn't working, so don't point me at the Michelin Cup tires, however...

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 and Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position-both are great on dry and wet.

 

i have the michelin pilot sports xgt and they do great in water and dry roads. its around 160-180 pre tire
