Mille Miglia wheels
The MM Cup 3S wheels are awesome- Subaru spec Porsche 911 OE knockoffs. I want to get the Sports with the darker satin finish, but I haven't heard about a single Suby owner with any MM wheels at all, let alone the 3S. The best part is, 17x7.5s are down to $119 apiece! I figure this means they are going out of (or already have stopped) production. I realy wasn't planning on dropping $1200 on wheels and tires yet, but I may be forced to soon, unless somebody comes forward with a good reason not to, other than the fact they aren't Rotas or Volks.

I was considering them also because I thought they would look good. The only drawback I can think of is that they weigh around 24#.
Of course, I spent more on my P7's which are only 17x7 and weigh 22#.

Yeah, I considered those also. If you really don't care about weight, go ahead. But you can get any Rota model for about the same price and they're all lighter than that. I think the heaviest 17" Rota is the Battle and Tarmac at ~19 lbs.

actually, i was using MM HT+ (?) just until
about a month ago. those MM wheels are
great. I like them a lot. sure, they weight
more, but 22lbs on 17x7 isn't going to hurt
performance in the streets. i now use
SSR comps which are 12.7lbs, but heck, i really
cant tell the difference between the two.
all i can say is that the initial response
time got shorter on the accelerator and brakes,
but that's about it....
actually, im thinking about picking up a
set for my other car, the same MM HT+ (?).
if you're buying cast wheels, i would be
very skeptical if people are selling you 'light
weight' wheels. seen those severed rota
wheels that separated between the rim and
spokes? ive seen too many pict.

Yeah... casting vs forging is why Volks are 3x the price of Rotas. You get what you pay for, especially with this car. If I was bargain bin shopping, I would have bought the 16k Civic Si or the 14k Focus instead of the 19k Impreza.

I had a set of MM 11-2's on my old sebring Convertible, and I had no problems whatsoever. Drove some pretty nasty pavement, and was none too kind to them (driving a passenger convertible like a race car is never a good idea) and they treated me well for the 2months I had them before I got the Subbie. For the price, I have only GOOD things to say about them. Plus, I did not see too many other people with them on. Not too popular with the tuner crowd AFAIK. (probably due to weight) I'd say get them.
