powder coating is the way to go if you want the wheels to look great and last a long time.

I have mine powdercoated. it costed me about $200 for all four wheels.

or the cheaper way is to go to "home despot" erm depot buy approx 6-8 cans of Rustoleum gold paint "Gold Rush" is the name written on the can
buy 2 cans of Rustoleum clear coat ...

get masking tape in 1" size 2 rolls
masking tape in 2" size

get some scrubbing pads soft , medium

this should run approx $50 bucks

then the fun part...

take 1 whole day (warm)
take wheels off (it helps)
wash wheels with warm soapy water and use scrubbing pads to take off brake dust etc...also make sure you do this all over the front and back if you want to end up with factory style look

next dry wheels
mask off each wheel around the edge where tire meets the rim with small pieces of 1" tape approx 1" long all the way round on the wheel outside and inside. then go over rest of tire with 2" masking tape not forgetting to mask off the valve stem

after that you are ready to paint wheels find nice area away from car to spray wheels also a place thats not too breezy...
read instructions on can for spraying ....

i did 3 coats inside wheel and four coats outside wheel Gold
then on the outside 2 coats of clear coat

this will take you all day at least 8 hours to do correctly

Andy...who did it already and has "Gold 2000 RS wheels"

Yeah, I was going to have my 6 spokes refinished along with getting them repainted gold as well. I think they look really nice.
