I am looking into getting a set of wheels for the summer and use my stock bbs wheels for winter tires. I was thinking of rota torques or WORK Emotion CR. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the benefit of getting 18s over 17s?

Unless you are set on getting 18's, I would use the BBS wheels as the summer wheel. The rota and Work wheel are both cast wheels ( I think you can get forged Emotion for about $500/each). As far as 18's go, they ride quality goes down due to lower profile tires and there isn't much increase in grip. I would personally wrap 235's around the BBS wheels and buy some cheap rota's for winter tires.
