I am currently in the market to purchase all season tires.. and I have found kuhmo ecsta ASX 225/40 18s for 105 a piece. I am just wanting to hear people opinions about these or have other recommendations. My 07wrx is on helix dna coilovers and rockin volk ce 28ns 18x8.5.

PS: im a tight budget too.

Do you have to get All Season tires? I just think it's a waste to put AS tires on nice & wide (enough for a Subie IMO) wheels. If your concern is wet, there are lots of summer tires are very good in wet. If you want to drive up to Tahoe in winter, I'd suggest to get a cheap set winter (even steelies) wheels w/ REAL snow tires.

BTW, I saw your post on Nasioc... there are whole bunch of @$$ there, but they have pretty good knowledges, but still @$$.

I'd also consider 235/40 or wider for 8.5" width wheels.

i just bought these kumho asx, i'm about 7.5k miles in and all i can say is WOW. very comfortable, quiet, and has great dry traction. i havn't been able to try these out in wet conditions yet, but tirerack ratings were pretty good

yup, im rockin the asx's on my stock wheels for my RS. so far so great. pretty good ride quality for the price too. i use it for DD and sometimes hard driving, so its doing fine for me.
