1) kumho ecsta supra 712
2) falken azenis st115
3) yokohama es100
which of these will do me best in 235/40/17(x8) for daily driving all year round?
oh, and price is not the biggest factor, as i can get each set pretty much within $50 of one another. thanks!

Covet?!
1. Very inconsistent. Some say that it is an excellent tire, particularly for the value. Others say its horrendous. I think it has more to do with manufacturing inconsisties than personal opinions after conducting some research.
2. Crappy in the rain and wet weather. Go for the FK451's instead.
3. Overall good tires. Not the best, but not the most expensive either. Very few complaints except that they don't perform as well on the circuit or auto crossing, but they are excellent street tires. I'd go for these from your choices, but I'd take the FK451's over these.
Good luck...

I have the kuhmos and the reason they get inconsistent reviews is because they perform incosistently. I have been both shocked by grip levels only to have them lose grip suprisingly easily awhile later. They are good tires, especially for the low cost my only complaint is I like a tire that gives more audible warnign (read screeching) before sliding.

My biggest problem w/ the 712's is the soft sidewall...
I've heard that the es100's are both worse and better in this respect so there seems to be inconsistancy there too...
The ES100 is the most attractive to me out of the three. Better wet and dry traction than the Kumho in my tests. They also tend to ride smoother. Longevity between the two is comparable.
