How much different from FWD?

My last car was an all-motor Neon that sported Falken Ziex 512s. Those tires rocked, wet or dry, but get them in two inches of snow, and they'd just spin at a stop. Once underway, they actually provided decent grip, so I chalked it up to the potent low-end the Neon had. Anyway, I'm left wondering how they'd perform on my lesser-powered and AWD 2.5GT. In the snow, specifically.

AWD will always help in snow. Tires are probably more important though. Try the Blizzaks, you probably won't be disappointed. The RE92 did pretty well in the snow when they had tread on them.

Right, but I guess my question is this:
Will a tire that performed so-so in the snow with a FWD car perform better on an AWD car?

Yes, from a standing start. All other situations are more or less the same. AWD doesn't improve stopping or turning in the snow.

Exactly what I needed. Thanks, Ban.
