How many miles till you wore out your RE92s?
 

I've got 28,500 miles on my '02 WRX and I think it's about time to replace the tires. I was curious how long the stock tires were lasting other people. I have done no racing or autocrossing, but I am moderately aggressive with my driving habits.

I'd like to hear what kind of mileage some of you other folks have put on your RE92s and what kind of driving you have done with them.

mine were shot with under 20k miles on them. i would have liked to replace them earlier, but i hadn't picked out a set of 17's yet.

first set of re-92s 5k miles

second set i tried to make last, got 10k out of those

Damn, guess I didn't do too bad with them. What kind of driving were you guys doing to wear the tires out that fast?

Anybody else like to share their experience with the RE92s?

just aggressive street driving in the hills, and some autocross. the sidewalls on the RE92s are just too soft, and will roll heavily under quick cornering. that wears out he shoulder of the tire pretty quickly.

I purchased a 2000 Legacy 6 months ago, they were the originals with 19k. I just replace them at 37k. My 18k were aggressive highway miles. Never get them again. See my posting for Falken ZE-512.

mine last 30K miles~~

I have 20K on them, the shoulders are all rounded off, but they got tread on them still.

cause someone gave them to me for free

mine lasted for a good 28k, before i replaced them. btt i went to mount my new tires, the folks at auto innovations shook their head while saying you should have replaced these a long time ago. when i did the penny test, the tread was at abe's hair line.

thats still a ton of tread, i always wear them down to where they just get smooth

LOL. the insides are smooth, if that counts.
