Help: Sti snow tires and rims!!!
hey i just got my STI today and the dealer told me that my tires are not recommended for the snow. So i was just wondering wat kind of rims and snow tires do u recommend? I dont really want to spend a whole lot on these tires and rims because they will just be for my winter driving to get scratched up in the snow. So wat do u guys recommend? Please tell me wat tires, rims, price, and where to get it from. thanks.

Your rim choices are limited due to the large front calipers. You are pretty much stuck with using STi specific 17" wheels. What most people do, is get a nice set of 18" for the street and use your stock rims for snow tires. I recommend Bridgestone Blizzaks. Cannot beat them in the snow. Studless snow tires. For studded tires, I don't know what to recommend. Sorry.

Yeah, what he said ^. Searching for a cheap rim that would fit the Subaru 4-pot calipers on my car was a pain in the @**. I soon realized that I wasn't going to find anything suitable, so I bought a new set of Work Emotions and used my somewhat beat-up Advan RG's as snow wheels. And +1 for the Bridgestone Blizzaks. The MS03 is an awesome tire for snow and ice. And if you like to brake loose around corners or in parking lots after a night of fresh snowfall, they provide amazing control for smooth drifts.
