Both tires are very similar in terms of grip per unit of rubber. The Evo tires are taller and wider than the STi. The Evo tire has an outer diameter of 25.3" and a section width of 9.2 on a 7.5" rim. The STi likes 24.5-25" tires with a similar section width. The Evo tire can be used on the STi rim, but it's not recommended on the car because of the possibility of fender lip roll/under fender modification and larger diameter.
