dust cover?

have anyone used the dust cover for the brakes?
the ones that go right behind the wheel and before the brakes. i think they are black and are smaller then the wheel itself so that they can fit in the back. are these good or even worth the purchase. will it harm the brakes? i really hate the dust comming from the brakes onto the wheels. makes mine look all old only after a few miles.

the brake covers should be alright, but there have been a few times where the lack or air flow caused the brake rotor to warp a little bit. i dont think this is will happen to all cars, but its a posibility.
if your rims get dirty after a few miles, may be you should look into getting a different set of brake pads that dont produce as much brake dust.
