Do you need Hubcentric Rings for Rotas?

I picked up a set of 17 x 9 Grids for m 04 WRX. Do I need hubcentric rings or did I just get the wrong size wheels? Does everyone run hub rings with their rotas? Thanks in advance.

Depends on the inner bore of the wheels. Subaru hubs are 56.1 and after a quick search it looks like the 17x9 grids are 73. So you might want to look into getting a set of 73 to 56.1 rings. They aren't extremely necessary, but they are a good idea.

Looks like they are $25 from Wheedude http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...roducts_id=295

I can explain the differences between hub centric and lug centric wheel mounting if you like, but, if it isn't necessary, I don't really want to get into it.

Naw. I appreciate the info. Kinda stinks that I didn't gt the heads up at the time of purchase. Seems like a big deal when everything rattles on the freeway. I dot really want to over torque my lugs to make it work either.
