is this the correct off set for an '02 WRX
I'm interested in buying a set of Volk CE28N's
17x7.5_ET33 or 17x8_ET38. Are these the right numbers? The car is lowered about 1.5 inches. and is the bolt pattern 4x100?
Thanks

No, I think you will be asking for problems if they even will fit, look here:

Are you positive. The guys at the wheel shop swear I want a 43 offset for 17x7.5 Volk LE28n's (I changed to the LE's). They tell me that Volk is giving them those numbers.
I guess a better question would be; how the hell do i decide who to belive???

Did you look at my link? It's a scan of the wheel info from the Service Manual. I'd go with the service manual or better yet why not look at the stamp inside your wheel if you don't believe the manual.

I looked at the link but the sevice manual says for a 15x6 to a 17x7 off set should be 55(?) on an '02 impreza. And while you (Peaty) seguests a 48 off set I'm not sure if you are reffering to an '02 WRX or standard impreza, Legacy, Outback or Forester. I guess I will go with a 48 as it seems to be the consensess but I feel like im shooting craps for 2k worth of wheels. Obviusly I'm missing the point some how but I do appreaciate the help.
Thanks
Thanks

55 for everything but the Outback or the Forester, those are 48. However most people say if you stay within the relm of 55 - 48 you should be OK. I try to stay with what the car came with if possible. Mine is a Forester so I went with 48.

You know... just out of curiosity, what kind of problems could I run into by going with a 43 off set, assuming it fits with the wheel well? Peaty's link said
"On the other hand, changing to a +42 offset would move the
wheel outward 1/4" so the entire 1/2" width change would be
noticed only on the outermost edge of the wheel. The result
would probably be no clearance issues inside but parts wear
"might" be increased. "
meaning future problems with the hub asymbly? What about imediate changes such as changes in the handeling of the car or tracking of the wheels?
