Comparing New Tires - '02 WRX - Size and Brand Questions

Hey everyone. I'm pretty new here, but need everyone's opinion on tires.

I'm looking for some new tires. Right now I have Michelin Pilot Sports A/S (225/50-16) on my 02 WRX sedan. I love them but I want something better in the performance areas. I typically only buy Michelin products but if you think there is something way better, let me know.

I'm looking at the following tires:
BFGoodrich g-force sport (225/50ZR-16 92 RBL)
BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW (245/45ZR-16 94Y B)

Someone suggested: Pirelli PZero Nero M&S (225/50-16)

I've done some research and they look like they perform well, have a good tread rating, and the cost falls within my budge. The research that I've done shows that the sport tire has a better treadwear rating with only a smaller difference in performance than the T/A KDW.

I want a tire that performs very well, costs less that $800 for a set, and has a decent tread rating (not like the full blown Michelin Pilot Sports).

Any opinions on which one is better? How do they compare to my old Michelins? Should I go with the different sizes or stick with the stock size? Is 245 too big for the stock wheels?

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I thank you ahead of time for it!

I see you're currently running all seasons. Is there a reason? All seasons generally perform more poorly than summer tires. I'm getting a set of Hankook RS-2's because they are suppose to be sticky and cheap. 245's are too big for your wheels. Also, they might be too big for your fender. You might rub a little in the rear. Falken RT-615's are also a good choice, but I hear they are scary in the wet.

Whatever you do, dont go by treadwear rating.... it is all crap. every manufacture has there way of judging treadwear and they are all different, so there is no real comparison unless they are the same brand. you should choose your tire depending on your driving style and the area you live in, not what people tell you. this is my two sense, if you want a good cheap tire.. the g-force sports are not too bad though.
