Color Lugs at Gorilla.com

people are awesome!!!
You're really allowed to work on someones car and let them leave w/ only 2 of 4 lugs on a wheel? so different from cosco which won't even put tires on that aren't endorsed by the manufacturer. Thats pretty crazy
Voyager: does your last message mean u've bought cheap ones till mcgards arrive? Does that mean u've mounted them?

The lady wanted 2 Michelin tires & an alignment for her car & we found that 2 of the lugs were difficult to remove. So we contacted the lady (actually went across the street to McD's to talk to her) & advised her that we could continue w/ the work, but we might break the studs. She wanted us to proceed. We did & of course her studs broke. We get her a price on the studs & she goes ballistic - she insists that we broke her studs (we had, but with her permission) & that we should fix it for F-R-E-E. No deal... So after about 1/2 an hour she comes around & is civil again, but she insists that she has no more $$ to replace the studs & lugs with. We suggest that she skip the alignment today & do the studs & lugs. She says "No, I need tires and an alignment." We suggest she buy some cheaper tires, so she can afford everything. She says "No, I want Michelins." We then suggest having her car towed & she declines as well. So we try to stress how dangerous it is for her to driver her car on public roads w/ only 2 lugnuts...
I have heard that about Costco. It's a good idea, since ALOT of people in my profession seem to think that proper plus sizing, load ratings & speed ratings are fiction.

Ok, either that lady is insanely totally crazy and stupid, or she had some extra studs lying around and she figured she'd just do it herself, or she decided to go elsewhere. Yea, I'm going with the first options. It seems kinda wierd tho, I mean if u care so much about tires, then how could you not care about studs, especially when half of them are missing. I mean, I get nervous driving with stock studs on aftermarket wheels (when I'm not driving hard) simply cuz the contact is slightly smaller.
Awesome story tho. Ppl can be sooo funny sometimes
you mean that proper plus sizing, load ratings, and speed ratings aren't fiction
Does that mean my 20 inch rims with 195/10 20 tires on them aren't any good
