Nope, no rub on my 225/50/16 Potenza RE750s. Of course, I'm using the stock brakes and stock suspension too.

 

225s should fit on a sedan. Wagons might have slight rubbing issues, but that can be solved by removing the rubber liner on the fender lip.

 

i got a sedan so it should be ok i gess stock all around tho planeing to get a damper set up in the next few months

I hate to throw another tire into the mix but you may also want to look at the PS2's. I've run s03's and BFG KD's and these PS2's are pretty damn sweet! It was surprisingly quite on the freeways. Great dry grip like the s03. The wet is (although I haven't experienced it yet) supposed to be equal or better than the s03. For dry grip, the KD's beat both of these tires but it's no good for wet days.

When I had my s03's they lasted about 7 or 8 track days. This is pretty good for street tires. I used my brand new PS2's (200miles on them) on the track about a week ago and they were just AWASOME!

So, if you can find the PS2's at an equal or less price you may consider them. TireRack was running a special due to them ordering a huge quantity as they did with the s03's.

They were less expensive than the s03's when I got mine on TireRack a couple of weeks ago.

anyone know anything about Goodyear F1 GS D3 was told i can get them for the same price at the s03 and get them right away

 

I am currently running a set of GSD3s on my car. They are absolutely great for the street, but I've taken them to two track days (once at Buttonwillow in March, and last week at Reno-Fernley) and both times they just rolled over and died under the stress. On the plus side, they should actually be a bit cheaper than S03s.

Basically, if you never track or autocross, get the Goodyears if you want to save a few bucks. If you do want to do competition type stuff, get the S03s.
