Black Lug Nuts

I'm looking for a set of black lug nuts. I'm using stock RS wheels on my 2002 WRX, so I'm not really worried about my wheels getting stolen. I just want black lug nuts instead of the stock chrome ones. Any help is really appreciated.
Thanks.

Either get them off of Ebay, or go to your local wheel/tire shop and pick up a set. If you want information on "special, light-weight" lugs, then i don't know what to tell you.

Get the McGard Black ones from www.oakos.com. I got them and they look sick with my gold rims.

The McGard's look sweet, but they're pretty pricy. I'm looking for something cheaper.

I'm currently looking for lug nuts also. Can anyone debate the merit of "tuner" open-ended nuts vs. normal lug nuts vs. spline drive lug nuts? The lightweight models are all about the same price ($80 for 20).

Also, do any of you have black-adonized aluminum lugnuts or black steel lugnuts? How well do they keep their "black" -- do the edges/corners turn silver after a few wheel changes? Do they fade in the sun?

Also, does anyone make "matte" finish silver lug nuts (not chrome, just aluminum-silver look)?

i got my black "tuner look" lug nuts from suby dude. the finish hasnt worn off or anything and they seem to be holding up really good. i also got the wheel locks, which match the black lugs.

I bought some chrome spline lugs for my rims safety. It is kinda like a wheel lock for all 20 lugs. But they didnt survive a Michigan winter before rusting. The lightweight models arnt going to give you much. Did a calculation a few months back and found that if they were at the flywheel (instad of hubs) it would make less than 1 hp. But it is less weight to carry around.

bump on this, I need more suggestions. Are there any problems with open-ended "tuner" lugnuts? Is there a set under $85 worth getting, or should I just give in and get the McGuards? So much money for little metal things!!

The Rays are $140... that's just not happening.

$35 shipped for Muteki's:

$115 shipped for volk's:

I would never EVAR get open ended lugs - too much exposure to dirt and the elements.

You can get the McGaurd's from Subydude for about 85 or so that have a bearing system so as not to scratch the rims. I am getting these shipped out to me today.

The McGard splinedrives are very nice...strong & the coloring holds up well. Keep in mind that the locking lugs do not have the free-rotating bearing surface that the normal lugs do. If that bothers you, order a kit without the locks.

Brent.

I just got these in yesterday from SUbydude and damn. These are the best lug nuts I have ever seen. I thought all lug nuts were the same, but these are far superior to any other lug nut I have ever encountered.
