BFG kwds -vs- falken fk451's?
BFG kwds -vs- falken fk451's?
thinking of replacing re's stock tires with either bfg kwds or falken fk451's...
I'm leaning towards the falkens because they are less $, but maybe spending a little more is the way to go (bfg's), the bfg's seem like more of a all-season tire too? Then again I don't need the bfg's higher speed raiting.
Any suggestions?

I've never tried the falkens, so I can't really give you a comparison.
I recently bought the KDWSs for a trip with LOTS of dirt and gravel. I was very happy with how they performed traction-wise, and also how well they put up with some serious abuse. They seem to do well on asphalt, too.
Overall, I'm quite happy with them.

Before these I was on the stock Re92s.
These are stiffer. (perhaps you are not surprised?)
They also have a longer treadwear rating than the Re92s, but I havn't had them long enough to see how theyre going to wear.

I have the kdws and am needing to replace them after about 20,000. Now I am looking at the traction t/a's. The kdws's work great but they did not last as long as I had hoped.
I just got some fk451's on the car like 3 days ago.. can't really say much for performance so far since I haven't put many miles on them.. They seem to be pretty sweet so far. Can't wait till the weekend when I'll get to really "test" them.
i just burn thru a pair of them, about 24k on thm, the other thing i heard is that subaru lenans towards a negative camber, and it effects the tread life of these tires, the inside tread edge is worn through already while the out side has like 3 32nds left on it, this is on all the tires, plus they usauly give it the front end alignment with them toe in a zero, which makes those tires want to track all over the road, you know follow the grooves in the macadam, or concret not like the alingmant is off the that the car pulls but it wants to wander.
but back to the tires they were great great traction over the bridgestones, they lasted longer, now there is a ta traction radial that comes out on the same platform as the kdws.

hey my girlfriend just got her car inspected yesterday, they had to put 2 new tires on her mx6. they put the bf goodrich traction t/a tires on, i t was a huge surprise to me because i thought they would have put on yoko's, but i was really funny because i had her go to where she works (dealership) to see if they could get the yokos, when she got back i saww on her car the tired i really wanted to get so i am going theere to see how much 4 are.
but the real thing i wanted to say about them was the grip really well, mx6 fwd, on wet pavemnet gripped really nice, i was actualy really surprised. mx6 tire size 205 55r15 1 inch smaller it is a good comparison.
