Anyone use the OZ P1s??
I'm looking into getting these wheels later down the road. The biggest sticking point for me though is the fact that they actually weigh about 2.5 lbs or so MORE per wheel. (or was it 6lbs)
I'm looking at the 18''.
Also, does anyone have any comments on how they feel as far as ride goes???
And finally, does anyone have recommendations (pros v. cons) on why i should get another set of wheels over these???

These are nice looking wheels, though you can get the Rota Tarmac's for much cheaper, which are almost identical.
But, knowing a few people who have these wheels they are probably one of the strongest out there. I don't know of any that have bent.

I picked up a set used this past summer 18" only reason I considered the 18" was because of what others had said about them being so strong, I actually bent one back in October when I hit a good size pothole, I took them off the next day, afraid to bend another plus winter is here, I actually got the rim fixed, just waiting for spring, they look great.

I use these wheels and I like them. Durable and strong. But a bit on the heavy side. But I want the Durability since I drive in an area with a lot of pot holes.
And there is almost no difference in performance from what I can feel and I have the Subaru 4pot fronts and 2pot rears.

I believe they are 21 pounds each 17" wheel, as opposed to 16.5 lbs for the stock 16" wheels. I have 17" P-1's and I can't say I notice the difference. 18 lbs. extra (all 4) probably counts somewhere but I can't tell. They are strong, which I need living in NYC (mucho potholes and bad roads), so it is a good trade off for my purposes
..besides they match my Prodrive mudflaps so nicely :-) lol Take a look....

nywrxtasy,
How do you like the PZero Neros? Also where did you get the prodrive mudflaps and do they make them for the GC body style.

Yeah I really need some mudflaps.. Everytime I have fun in the dirt I trash that little edge along the wheel well.. We must know how much and where to go!
This is probably better off as a separate topic, but since it's a painfull noob question, I'll just sneak it in here.
Why the 4 pot brakes? My 2 pot WRX stops instantly.. I have no troubles stopping at insane speeds, other than avoiding the ABS.. If my calipers weren't capable of grabbing the rotors hard enough to lock up the wheels (wouldn't want that anyways), I could see people getting upgrades... But that's just not the case, or atleast it hasn't been for me. Perhaps the 2 pot heat up quickly and are useless for Auto-X or Rally where you are using the brakes alot?

I got the flaps from Jim Childs @ Cheam Subaru in England. He is on the "other" board. The were about $160 with delivery. Expensive...but sweet :-) I don't know if they make them for the GC.
The tires are many times better than the RE-92's. They are firm and reasonably sticky, but I doubt they perform like, say, a Bridgestone S-03. Pretty good in the rain too. I love the tread pattern, looks like shark fins lol. A little expensive but I like Pirelli's so they were worth it for me.

Looks great. I really like those wheels too. I'm just waiting to save up some money before I do anything cosmetic to my car. I have to work on its performance before i do anything else to it. And even that i'm debating wether or not to do it.
i wish money grew on trees.
but then again...maybe not.
I like it though. Very OEM looking. Which is what i ALWAYS go for. Too bad everything OEM for the Scoobies are a FORTUNE. IE the roof scoop!!!
