My friend did it, and all I remember is that it wasn't worth it.

You'll spend between 1 and 2 grand for it. Might as well just buy different wheels.

the 6 gun kit uses all factory SOA parts, with the exception of modified knuckles (the knuckles are filled/welded and redrilled).

we were going to run this kit on our race car but I've heard mixed reviews.

Keep in mind if you buy a take off setup of 5x114.3 (knuckles/hubs/etc...), that this will affect your front suspension lower strut bases, as they would need to be changed to accomodate. The rear suspension strut bases are universal and will work either way with (5x100 or 5x114.3).

if you convert you dont only get better wheel selection. You also get better and stronger wheel bearings. That can support lower offsets means more concave and more flushness
IMHO if you want to do a hub conversion .. your better off getting the 05 sti hubs and brembos ... depending what you plan on doing with your car... it would be a good upgrade... but an expensive one..

I believe you have to swap your front and rear suspension, get an R180, 05+ STI axles, and 05+ STI hubs. Oh and I think I read somewhere you would either need to get an STI driveshaft and have it modified to connect with your transmission or get the knuckle that mounts to the R180 off a STI driveshaft and have that replace your stock one. Or you could go even deeper into the wallet, and swap in an STI 6speed and just use that driveshaft without any modification.

yes this is true you would have to swap out the drive shaft and diff... or you can find a the drive shaft from an automatic wrx wagon.. and find the rear diff from a 91 legacy turbo and rebuild so it can fit the axels.

the full conversion is pricey. but there are cheaper ways to do it.

^^^Yeah heard there's ways to get around some of the cost. Does anyone know what the deal is with the SVXs setup? They were 5x114.3, and of course didnt have Brembo's, but I read on a forum that theyre more work/difficult to install??? Maybe something with the hubs??

But Im 99.9999999999999% sure WRBLUEballs knows exactly what is needed since he's already swapped to 5x114.3
