2x4 on the freeway dent my rim
i was driving on the freeway yesterday and accidentally drove over a 2x4 that dented one of my rims slightly. my friend told me that i can take it somewhere (like wheel works) to get re-rounded for about $50? does anyone know anything about this? can you please help me out?

If you are really pissed and the wheels where expensive you could contact your local state highway patrol and report it. Ask them who to contact in regards to complaints about debris in the roadway and you could potentially get them to pay to replace it.
If not, just call around to a local garage (gas station) or Just Tires or something like that and inquire about getting it fixed.
Good luck and I would try my first suggestion if it's any kind of aftermarket wheel that you paid good money for.

Yeah actually I ran over a piece of concrete in the middle of the road like three years a go and really screwed my car up big time. Like $3000 worth of damage. Mostly because of my aftermarket wheels but.....
I contacted my highway patrol and got in touch with the right person and it was all taken care of for me by the "state" I guess. It took a lot longer than I wanted "obviously" but nothing came out of my pocket. If the circumstances are right and you conduct yourself in a professional manner you will get what you want.
