Me personally, I think that 255's are too wide to have on 17x8's But if you all have input on how this set up works on your rides, I'd appreciate it. Comfort of the ride and how it feels taking hard turns. Or any other issues with the set up..
TIA,
Ben

I'd venture to guess that you'd encounter sidewall rollover with 255s on an 8" wide wheel. Also, most tire manufacturers would recommend that size for an 8.5"+ width. Is there a reason you don't want to go with a 235 or 245 series tire?

I'm running 245/40/17 Falken FK451 on my 17x8 bbs's. Which tires are on them. Some tires, although they say 255, arent as wide as others with the same measurements. My Falkens seem to be narrow for 245's. After you find out which tires are on them find the specs for the tire and find the measured width or the rim width range.
