255/35/18s no rub :)
I just got some new tires installed 255/35/18s wraped on my SSR SP1s 18 8.5 47 offset no rub...I did have to remove the rubber strip in the fender. I have not taken any crazy turns yet but did drive though some really bumpy roads and no rubbing yet...
Wow, those are some wide tires for a WRX (10" wide). What brend and model tire are you running? How is your suspension set up, is it lowerd, what struts and camber settings are you running? Can you post some pic's? I hope they dont but I would bet if you push the car hard on a clover leaf exit ramp they will rub if the car is lowerd.

Those tires are pretty narrow compared to others. My GF has a set of 235 40 18's on her car and when I copared the width of those to my 225 45 17 ES100's they ES's were wider.
What is the offset of the wheels? There are a few people running 245s & 255s on this board, but I think you are the first person I have seen w/ 18s that wide (whose tires did not extend beyond the body).

Are you actually rubbing the wheel or did you mean to say the tire (I'm guessing and hopeing you are talking about the tire)?
Good luck.
