I have 18 X 8.5 Volk CE28N's on my 05 STi. Not sure about the offset but i ordered them through www.sportrallydirect.com and they had all the offset information. Just let them know you have the oversized brembo brakes. I cant remember what the offset was. My tires are Pirelli P-Zero Nero's P225/40 ZR 18 M + S Rated. I have no issues with rubbing or anything like that. They actually ride really nice. And they look badass!

You have no issues with rubbing because your car is as high as a Jeep Wrangler. Please drop it.
235 will not rub given you have proper offset. Going for 225 on STi is silly.
+52 will not fit over Brembos in 99% of the cases.
You could run 255, but it will require some careful wheel selection, tire selection, fender rolling and proper lowering.

Im not always on the street i do a little offroad here and there (desert and snow). So no i will not drop it!!!! I like the way it sits. It runs great too. If i dropped it i would have rubbing issues for sure. It looks sick wit it IMO. I already scrape as it is on some driveways with the front bumper.
I think i might have to jack it up a little bit...........

E's ride is dope! Ive been in it and I was very surprised on how good the comfort was of the 18's. I would never buy 18's on my wrx, but if I ever got an STi I would consider it. As far as lowerin it...depends on ones needs/preferences.

i have 18x8.5 48 offset w/245/40/18 tires and my car is slammed. however since my car is so low when i first installed my wheels i was hella rubbing. but after introduced my wooden bat to my wrx everything is all good now. but i hella rolled my fenders to avoid rubbing
