not to hijack but...i got 18x8.5 and 245/40 also, you think 245/35 would be too thin? or know anyone rocking that size? cuz i did the math and the 225/45/17 wheel and tire diameter is almost equal to a 245/35/18 wheel and tire diameter. i have an '04 sti. when i change my tired i wanna go 245/35 but not sure yet. im on prodrive springs btw.

I'll probably go with which ever I get the best deal on for my 06. Typically when going with new stuff the 17's + tires will be cheaper. 18's definately look fresh on a WRX, there's no doubt about that.
Please tell me what rims those are? Also, what is your friend using to drop the car? It is one of the few 17inch rims that look good on the 06 WRX

those are work rims.. there are a pair for sale right now in the classifieds, and i beg to differ, there are many 17s that look sweet on the new wrxs!

just wanted some opinions...

Can I get some feed back on this set up...

2006 wrx sedan; white no wing
BBS RGR; diamond black (17X7.5 on stock rubber)
STI Pink Spring

I already ordered the springs; those are going on no matter the wheel change or not. I wanted the BBS RE but can't afford the rubber and the wheels at the same time.

I can prodive pics if you guys want.
