I have been looking on ebay for 16" 2002+ WRX alloys for my 1999 Impreza Outback Sport. Does anyone have any experience with this setup? I am just worried about the tires rubbing on my wheel wells with stock springs/struts. I currently have the 15" stock steel wheels that came with the car. Its a good deal for these used wheels/tires. You can usually get them with really nice tires (depends on the tread wear) for as little as $300.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. I've seen a lot of guys use that setup on their OBS'. I'd sell you my wrx wheels but shipping to MA would be as much as the wheels.

 

Homer Jay is right...but if you were concerned about rubbing I would go to a 205/50/16 instead of the 205/55/16. Which would be 5% (respectively) shorter in sidewall. Since the aspect ratio is going from 55 - 50 will be shorter and possibly narrower by ~1mm. Correct me if I am wrong.. Have not delt with tires for over a year.

 

I wouldn't worry about the tires being too tall since the OBS' are taller than the regular cars anyways.
