05 wrx rims

05 wrx rims

Can anyone tell me if the new 05 wrx stock rims have a slight gold tint to them, a guy at work bought an 05 wagon the other day and he says the rims are stock. I have my doubts since I'm sure I'd have noticed it on other cars in the area.

Yes, they have a different spoke design than the 04's, and have a gold/bronze tint - see www.subaru.com

Indeed, the stock 05 wheels have a slight gold/bronze tint to them. It's also darker than the old WRX wheels.

nope, they're gunmetal and they're 16's. i have em and wished they were bigger.

They're definately darker than the 02-04 rims. Here's a few of pictures of them on a Crystal Grey.

I like them, but like y0gfx said, I wish they were bigger.

Yes...the Crystal Grey Metallic is a new color for 05. The new rim color matches the Crystal very nicely!

Here's a small picture that shows the color difference between the Platnium Silver and the Crystal Grey:

I've got an 05 and want to get some 17's (got the pearl black color), anyone have any suggestions? relatively cheap if possible.

im sorry, but I like the 04s and older styles better...
these are ok, but they kinda resemble the newer accord rims. i think on the LX models.... im not sure...... but as a quote from someone on this forum

to ones there own style or some sh*t like that, heheheh

these are the same wheels that came stock on the 04 legacy gt's!
subaru should have gave the 05's the uk 17 inch 5 star wheels...

Rota's are a good value. Decent quality for a fairly low price. Run a search on the Tires and Wheels forum and you're bound to learn more. You can also consider 5Zigen, Ray's (G-Games), and Buddy Club for more budget-oriented alternatives.
