Question 05/06 STI BBS wheels - have you tried...

Has anyone put on size 245/40/17 on their stock BBS wheels? Did it rub, and did you have to roll the fenders? Also, please mention any suspension mods too. TIA

You'll probably have to do some fender rolling in the rear. I think 235's are about the limit w/out rolling. Although some tires have small actual tread widths and might fit.

someone has already fit 255's on a 06 STI with a 40mm offset and very little rolling if any needed at all

of course on aftermarket wheels

I gotta see this in person. Do you go to any meets?

edit: I take it you only use these tires at the track, right?

I go out to the ufo and aas autoX events...I have ran them on the street. There is no rubbing. I have stuffed a 335 in the rear of my old z28 camaro. now that was some work. these are plug and play.

Sorry, I don't auto-x, so I don't know what the acronyms stand for. I would really like to check out this setup on your car, so just let me know when you plan on attending any upcoming events. Thanks.
