Your OP title is 245x40x17...

My suspension are SPT Pink springs w/ stock struts. My summer wheels are Advan RCII 17x8.5" +45. My rear fenders are also rolled. I used to run Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position 245/40-17 & it used to rub on super hard corners. Now I'm rolling on Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec 235/40-17. It doesn't rub anymore.

Enkei RPF1 17x8's offset is +45. If your car is sedan, you should be ok w/ 235/40-17 w/o rolling rear fenders... maybe even 245/40-17 but depends on tire brand/model (some tires are wider than others). It also depends on your suspension.

Hey all. Im a bit new to purchasing wheels and tires where Im ACTUALLY trying for a specific size/look. I have an 03 wrx, stock suspension, and other mods. I am going to be purchasing a 17 x 8.5 rim/tire package. The tire size they're including in the package is:
205/40/17, or 215/45/17 (for a little more $$). Everything shows it should fit on my specific model and year, but I just wanted to see what the concensus is. ANYONE running something like this that may have some pictures?

Oh, future plans for the bugeye will be some tanabe gf210's.....but thats a bit down the road......any conflicts?
thanks!

You CAN'T fit 205 nor 215 on 8.5" width wheel! Max. width for those are 8". You want to get AT LEAST 225/45, but I'd get 235/40 or 245/40 (most likely you'll need to roll fender but depends on your suspension) for 8.5" width.

well......since I posted on here, been doing my own research.....and I did find someone with some 17x8.5 running 205's.........but you're right.....its NOT going to work......

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...5#post25616215

Dont even know how this would look in person, but Im not likin it right now......DEFINITELY going to run the 235-245's. Also, right now, I'm on stock suspension....so I should be ok without having to roll the fenders right?
