i actually think they are exactly the same

put them up against my friends 04 and i couldnt tell the difference

The only thing about the JDM ones is that all the controls are on the passenger side right?

they are sitting at my mother house ill check tonight

but even if they are those cotrol boxs can either be switched from one side to the other or you can put your wrx ones in

double checked
and yes the controls are on the opposite side

but like i said you can swap them for your wrx ones
