WTB: Crappy wheels that clear STi

Ok heres the deal. It is time that I have to get my car shipped to me...and I need wheels and tires that I can throw on there to drive it onto a flatbed and then back off...so they can be the crappiest wheels, doesn't matter how curbed they are as long as they will drive onto a flatbed and then back off...I need them to have tires on them, but the tires can be so bad they are on the verge of exploding, as long as I can get them onto a car to drive it onto a truck and back of and back on anther one and back off. I am looking for cheap cheap, and they need to clear STi brakes. PM me if you have anything I might be looking for.

BTW: I am a girl (Big_Dewey's girlfriend) and I don't know much about this stuff....all the numbers just blow my mind, so hopefully someone will see this and be able to help me out. Thanks

I cant help ya as far as wheels to give you, but you basically need 17" or bigger wheels to clear those brakes. I'd see if anyone in your general area has a set of winter wheels they arent using yet.

Also, saying where you are, where the car is, and where the car is going might help in terms of possibly borrowing a set

also what year car is it?

There is a difference between the 2004 STi and the 20005 - 2007 wheels.

Wonder how bad it would be to use 4 spare tires.....?

Hmmm...4 spare tires...now that is an idea. Sorry about the lack of info...it would be for an 04 STi. So I guess if anyone has any spare tires that they would like to sell...or wouldn't mind letting me use that would be amazing. I am located in western Michigan and the car is being shipped from northeast New Mexico. Thanks for all of your input so far though.

I've seen cars moved with all four tires being spares...just not sure if it is a good idea, especially on a Subaru.

Good luck with it though, I know you have got to be missing the car.

Actually I have never seen it before. I just bought it totalled, and I am going to be swapping it into a 2.5 RS. So I would only need the spares on for minimal time, not even a half a mile I would say....who knows we will see what happens. I am just excited to get the car and start doing the swap.
