USDM STi Intercooler Brackets

For any STi owner who has upgraded to a FMIC; I want to buy your TMIC brackets, please PM me if your willing to sell your old brackets.

I have a '02 WRX and I have upgraded to the STi intercooler and there is some geometry issues using my stock IC brackets.

Thanks,

-Dave

Are you sure? I know bugeye guys here that have the STi intercooler (even one with a JDM IC) and it fits fine on the stock brackets. I was pretty sure it was the same part#. Check the fitment of the inlet hose (the Y-pipe part), how much you angle that has alot to do with the fitment.

Yes I'm sure. The JDM IC would fit perfectly, the USDM IC is different the brackets need to be modified to fit properly. You can force it to make the High-pressure hose fit from the Turbo to the IC, but running 21 psi. I can't keep the hose to seal properly. I've heard that it is the same part number, hopefully not. If it is, I'll have an extra set of brackets to weld on.

Its my understanding that the '02's are based on the JDM motor, and the '04's are the same as the USDM STi.

Thanks for the input.
