I currently have an STi wing on my 03 rex. I used to have the stock wing on and thought I didn't like it. Now that I see so many people with the stock one on, I am sort of liking it again. I think it makes the car look more beefy or something. If anyone wants to trade trunks or wings, I'm up for it. It's platinum silver, btw. What are your thoughts on this?

I just got my 05, and recently traded for an STI wing. At first I hated it because of how big it is. But now I love it, It just goes with the car. Anyone who would say it is rice because of how big it is, is retarded. It's a subaru, The big wing is part of the car. Prodrive didn't help design a bad *** ralley/ street car, by thinking the other prominent feature on an STI besides the hoodscoop looks big and ricey.It's menacing, when you creap by someone and then they realize exactly what you are. If you have mods, or not, It make the car look more muscular and not round like all the little ***** imports. Neon, no thank you, Celica, no thank you, Focus, no thank you. Impreza's and the wing is a statement. Plus the big wing looks cool when you do axis spins on video.

HAHA awesome. Yeah, I decided not to do it. I've only had my '03 for about 3 months and got the wing a few days after I got the car, but I've only recently begun to appreciate it. Even tho my car has the bugeyes, it still looks cool and gives the car a little more aggressive appearance. Plus all my subie buddies are jealous! Where at in PA are you btw?

 

I dunno, one of my buddies had a corrado and said that the wing going up and down got really annoying, plus he said it made an equally annoying noise while doing so. I think the stock wing gives the wrx a little more beefy appearance from certain angles and the STi wing gives it a more wedge shaped appearance.

Also, I wonder how effective the STi wing really is. I notice, even at fairly low speeds, that the wing oscillates a lot. Wouldn't this decrease its effectiveness?
