just the block. I have a 2000 Subaru Legacy with an EJ25 SOHC. I'm looking for either the engine, or just the long/short block part of it. I'm mainly looking for private parties and such, since it's apparent that no matter how good or cheap a website is, $1,000.00 for an engine block is ricockulous.

Serious people only please, I've already had 2 deals fall through and quite frankly, i'm nearing the end of my rope. I don't want an EJ20 or anything of that nature, I just want my engine back up and running (blew the rod bearing and main bearing), so my heads and stuff are still good.

I will consider DOHC engines IF and only IF, they absolutely positively fit in my car. Also, I hope you would understand, but I need a papertrail saying that it is in working condition, blah blah.
